Cut Flutter
paper
by Making
Memories”
12in x 3in and punch the bottom for a border with “Fence”
Martha Stewart Edge Punch.
Cut out some of the ladybugs and trees and attach them to the paper that goes around the bottle.
Glue it to the middle of the bottle, leaving space above and below the paper.
Cut a little over a foot of “orange ball trim” ribbon and adhere it to the top of the paper to make a border.
Take a small, skinny ribbon and wrap it around the very top of the bottle several times and leave a little excess.
Make a tag, and stamp flower or Spellbinder on the tag.
Punch a small hole in the tag so the ribbon can go through it. Put your excess ribbon through the hole and tie it tight.
Adhere one of the lady bugs from the paper on top of the cap to cover up the Starbucks logo.
Take about a foot of a plain and simple blue ribbon and glue that around the side of the cap.
Add Robin Eggs inside the bottle and you’ve completed it!

Classic Scalloped Square or Rectangle (Large) Spellbinders Nestabilities die-cut
(I used the square.)
Scor-Pal (or other scoring tool)
Scissors
Paper trimmer
Double-stick tape or other adhesive
3-D foam
Pattered Paper
Cardstock
Easter stamp and ink (optional)
Step 1: Using the square or rectangle, die cut your desired cardstock/paper. You will need 4. Two for the front/back, then two for the sides.
Step 2: Score in between the last scallop-edge to edge. See photo. On the front/back piece ONLY score bottom. On side pieces score both side AND bottom. On the side pieces snip the corner (triangle off).
Step 3: Bend all scored edges FORWARD. Apply adhesive to all bent edges.
Step 4: When putting together - line up the tops scallop to scallop.
Step 5: Create a bottom for the basket. Cut a 3 1/8 inch square and adhere. (If you use the LARGEST scallop rectangle, it turns out to be 3 1/2 inches squared, for your bottom piece. It becomes a square due to the way the sides are scored.)
Step 6: Add a handle. Cut a strip of cardstock about 1 1/4 inches wide by 11 inches long-end - will fit perfect. I added a slightly thinner strip of patterned paper to the handle. Put ends of the handle on the inside. They will also keep the sides from buckling in.
Step 7: Decorate the basket as desired. I cut out flowers on the patterned paper and adhered with adhesive and 3-D foam.
Step 8: Fill with grass and candy.

Step 3: Next take a small scalloped oval die and run it through with green

This will create a oval scalloped border. Adhere the scalloped

Tie ribbon around the panel.

Spellbinders Die Templates Nested Eggs and Easter Borderabilties
Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Rectangles Large Die Template
Ribbon
Printer paper cut to 5” x 7”
Patterned paper
Cardstock
Adhesive sheets
Double-sided sticky tape or other adhesive
3-D Foam
Markers or colored pencils
Piercing Tool
Big Shot or other cutting/embossing machine
Step 1: Cover the 5 x 7″ printer paper with the adhesive sheet. Remove liner sheet to expose adhesive, place on paper, remove the remaining liner and cover adhesive with ribbon.
Step 2: Place on the Big Shot mat with the ribbon side facing up. This way you can see where your die will be cutting. Place Nested Eggs die template on top of ribbon with cut side down, smooth side down. I used the #4 die template (with #1 being the smallest). Then layer with another mat. Run through Big Shot at least two times. You may need to make extra passes depending on how thick your ribbon is. We cut with scissors along line if the ribbon did not cut on big shot.
Step 3: Now flip your ribbon paper over and reposition the Nested Eggs die template over the cut line. Run through the Big Shot two more times. This helps cut through the ribbon on both sides.
Step 4: Now, cut/emboss one border from white cardstock using Spellbinders™ Easter Borderabilities® Petite#1 die template.
Step 5: To emboss, place die template with paper side up on mat, then an embossing pad, then a second mat. Run through Big Shot.
Step 6: Use a foam mat with a piercing tool or push pin to poke holes in the border.
Step 7: Cut/Emboss a second Spellbinders™ Easter Borderabilities® Petite die template #1 from a 2” x 5 1/2″ piece of pattern paper, save the top and bottom.
Step 8: Card measures 6” x 5 1/2″. Adhere bottom border piece on card front, then white border, then top border piece. Embellish with ribbon.
Step 9: Cut/Emboss one Spellbinders™ Classic Scalloped Rectangles Large #5 die template from white cardstock, stamp sentiment in lower right corner with black ink. Adhere to card front with 3D Foam.
Step 10: Color embossed tulips on border with markers or colored pencils. Cut Spellbinders™ Easter Borderabilities® Petite die template #1 from various colors of cardstock for the butterflies and flower. Adhere Ribbon Egg and assemble as shown with 3D Foam.

Watering can template(stop by the store to pick one up)
Scor-Pal
(or other scoring tool)
Scissors
Paper trimmer
Glue or Double-sided sticky tape
Repositionable adhesive
Pattered Paper, at least 8 1/2” x 11”
Embellishments (optional)
Paper Flowers
- Various Spellbinders die-cuts
- Wooden sticks
- Floral Foam
- Easter grass
Step 1: Adhere template to “wrong” side of patterned paper with repositionable adhesive and cut out the four pieces: watering can body, spout, and curved handle.
Step 2: Working on the "wrong" side of the paper, score and valley fold the dashed red lines on the main watering can body. Remove template.
Step 3: Apply adhesive (glue or double-sided sticky tape) to the folds on the "right" side of the paper.
Step 4: Bring sides together to form the can body.
Step 5: Curve the front flaps and tuck into the sides of the watering can using a dab of glue or other adhesive to keep in place.
Step 6: Take the spout and fold with "wrong" sides turned to the inside as indicated by the red dashed lines in the template. Remove template.
Step 7: Apply a dab of glue to the end of the spout's inner sides to fix them together. Apply a strip of double-sided sticky tape to the base of the spout and affix to the front of the watering can body.
Step 8: Remove template and attach the curved top handle by placing a dab of glue on each end (right side up) and tucking inside the top of the can, ensuring that the handle curves to the back.
Step 9: Create a back handle by cutting a 6” x 3/4” strip of paper. Fold the handle at the ends (about 1/2” fold).
Step 10: Apply glue or sticky tape to the right side of the folded ends.
Step 11: Glue to the back of the can to form a ‘D’ shape.
Step 12: Your watering can is now complete and ready to be decorated as you wish! I cut out designs from coordinating patterned paper and adhered them with 3-D foam. Using various Spellbinder die-cuts and 3-D foam, I created flowers. I then adhered the flowers to sticks and arranged them in the watering can using floral foam and grass.

We are so excited for Jana to start teaching here at Simply Scrapbooks! She is Ranger Certified and Copic Certified. (Many of you know her from co-teaching here at the store with Jennifer Mcguire and from her classes at Stamp You Art Out.)
Look forward to some wonderful classes and learn some fabulous stamping techniques. The technique class will include five technique tags and cards. Her first class will be the distress inks...which will include all the new colors. Also coming soon will be her Copic marker classes. Check out her blog at www.janamillen.typepad.com
Jana's first class will be Saturday, March 27th from 1-3pm. Ink it up with Distress Inks . . .The new colors.
Join Jana Millen for a 2 hour class wehre you will learn how to use Ranger's Distress Inks. Jana is a certified Ranger instructor who studied with Tim Holtz at Ranger University and will share some of the many techniques that she learned from him. For each technique we will first practice it and create a sample tag with instructions printed on it so you will always have a record of how to do it. Then we will make a card using each technique. So you will leave the class with 5 cards and 5 sample tags. (Note: This class teaches the same techniques that were taught in the Distress Ink classes at Stamp Your Art Out in Blue Ash, OH. However, this class uses the newest Hero Arts products and new Distress Ink colors so the cards are somewhat different.)
