Do you decorate your house for Valentine's day? Do you need a little something to to hang on a door or a wall? Well Amy Cloud has come up with the most wonderful home decor item for Valentine's day.
Valentine Wreath
Designer: Amy Cloud
Supplies: Choose 8-10 super cute printed papers that you think go together. I used a mix of
Jillibean and Pebbles Valentine Collections ~ Pick whatever you like!
Heart: All hearts were cut using the Cricut Cartridge “Groovy Times” at 4 inches. I cut 6 of
each color. If the paper was double sided, 12 hearts can be cut from one sheet!
Bird: Cut using the Cricut Cartridge “Straight from the Nest” and then I used a paper crimper
on the body only. I also cut a wing from coordinating scraps and two Bazzill Brown flower
sprigs from the same cartridge at 2 inches!
Ink: Colorbox Chestnut Roan – I inked the bird after crimping and also the wing!
Additional Supplies: 12” wreath wire purchased at Michael’s, some type of ribbon, tulle or raffia
for a bow, Valentine sprig for added decoration purchased at JoAnn Fabrics, hot glue gun
and extra hot glue!
Assembly: Begin hot gluing hearts to the wire wreath alternating colors. Glue Valentine sprig
On the wreath, assemble bird and hot glue to wreath!! Add bow.
Designer Note: I started at the bottom center and went up the wreath in both directions so the
hearts were going the correct direction on both sides and it wasn’t really noticeable where the
met at the top!
Talk about fun and adorable. Stop on in today and pick up some fun paper to make this wreath!
Have a crafty day!
