The January release from My Favorite Things is just incredible!  The stamps and dies are just awesome.  I don't know about you but I am becoming totally addicted by all there wonderful items.  Today I have a couple of videos from My Favorite Things that highlight someof their new stamps and dies.  Let's take a look.

 

I love watching that video because the inspiration in this video is AMAZING!  I think MFT has a very talented design team!

Design Team Inspiration with Mary Pat

Are you in need of a little inspiration today?  Well today I have a new layout that I created using the new line from Echo Park's winter collection.  With this last snowfall my boys were outside as soon as they got dressed and they were so excited because there was enough snow to actually make a snowball! 

As I have mentioned before when I talk about Echo Park I just love their stickers and paper.  The stickers just really make the page.  They make scrapbooking so easy! 

With the scraps of this layout I made a super easy card.

Design Team Inspiration with Mary Pat

Simple Stories has an amazing line out called Year-ology.  It is great line that can be used all year long.  The other day I was playing around with the paper and I came up with a cute card using some of their paper can stickers.

Designer note:  to create the background paper I used a scrap of kraft paper and then stamped the background dot stamp in red chili pepper jenni bownlin ink and stamped the image.  I love to create my own backgrounds with stamps.

One of my favorite paper companies is Doodlebug.  There designs are just so cute.  They put a smile on my face the very instant that that i see their paper.  This new collection Sweet Cakes is just adorable.

A Free Class From Bo Bunny

I have some fun and exciting news to share with you all from Bo Bunny.  Bo Bunny is offering a FREE class starting January 9, 2012.  It will be on every Monday for the month of January.  In each class the student will see a detailed video and photo layouts of the project.  During the month long class you will make a beautiful snowflake mini album.

Happy New Year!

Just wanted to pop in today and wish everyone a very Happy New Year to you all! 

Do you make Resolutions?  Do you make scrapping resolutions?  Well, I asked our design team what scrapping resolutions they have for 2012 and here is what they said.

Amy Cloud

Hello fellow scrappers ... here are my 2012 Scrapbook Resolutions!!

 

1) My daughter suggested this resolution for me and the more I thought about it ... the better I liked it!   She suggested I tackle one unfinished scrapbook project each month.   We love to travel and in the past I got behind on vacation albums so I have several cruise albums and an African safari album that I never finished!   So, this year I am going to work on one of those albums each month until I finish them.  The end result will not only be beautiful finished albums, but also much-needed additional space in my scrapbook closets ... great idea I think!!

 

2) My next resolution is to complete the journalling when I finish my pages.   I am continually scrapbooking, but sometimes I just pile up the completed pages and they are "naked" ... no journalling!   I am not a wordy journaller and I believe in hand-written journalling ... so before I put the page in the pile or book ... I resolve to journal them!!

 

3) My final scrapbook resolution is stay caught up ... I am caught up now (even have Christmas 2011 done) ... I love to be creative when I'm working on Design Team projects but I don't believe all my pages have to be that creative ... one hour and done!  I love to use the Sketches for Scrapbookingbooks (available at Simply) to complete my pages ... fast and easy ... and super cute especially when you add a few embellishments and bling ... gotta love it!

My New' Years Resolution is to try to keep up with everything I want to do scrapbook layouts on and find time to do them all. Sounds impossible but anytime I can get is better than none.

A Bella Christmas Wishes Mini Album

Did you take a ton of pictures this holiday season.  I know I took 200 photos Christmas Eve and Christmas Day ( yes, I know I took way too many photos but I just love to!  That is the great thing about having a digital camera.) Now there is no way that I can scrap all 200 but a really good way to scrap a lot of pictures is to create a holiday mini album. 

Our very own Design Team Member Amy made a wondeful mini album designed by Julie Johnson.  It features the Bella Blvd Christmas Wishes collection.  This mini is just so adorable!

New We R Memory Keepers

We just got a new delivery in this week and I think you are really going to like what we are going to take a sneak peek at today!  Brand new We R Memory Keepers Cotton Tail.  This line is so pretty for Spring and Easter.  The colors are just amazing and the embellilshments are wonderful.  Val was just putting it up when I took the picture!

New Crate Paper

I know we just had Christmas this past week but in the scrapbooking world the Valentine's day collections have been rolling in!  Today I want to share with you a new collection from Crate Paper.  Let's take a look.

Design Team Inspiration

 

 Hi Everyone,

Today I have some design team inspiration for you from me, Mary Pat.  When I saw the new line- Spring Flings and Easter Things from Bella Blvd  I completely fell in love with the wonderful colors and designs.  It was perfect for my Easter picutres.  

Supplies

cardstock-Bazzill

paper, stickers- Bella Blvd- Spring Fings and Easter Things 

Tools- Silhouette, Sewing maching

Note:  To create the title, Easter bunny and basket I used my Sihouette.  I then cut out the Easter eggs from the pattern paper.  I love take the pattern paper and making my own embellishments with it.  I also typed out my journaling on the computer and cut them into strips.  I then added the stickers from the sticker sheet to the ends of some of the stips.

My Holiday Wish list

Hey Everyone,

Is everyone getting ready for the Holidays?  I am not quite done yet.  I still have to make a couple of things.  I did make out my Holiday Wish list for my wonderful hubby and there were a few crafty items on there!  Here is my list:

1.  Jenni Bowlin ink pads.  I LOVE the Jenni Bowlin stamping ink pads.  The colors are just so beautiful.  I need a couple new colors to complete my collection.  The lavendar color is just sooo pretty!

2.  Twine Twine and More Twine!  I don't know about you but I love Twine!  The colors are just so yummy!  I love to incorporate it on ALL my projects.  I think I need the lavendar to match the lavendar Jenni Bowlin ink!!

3.  New Die-namics dies!  I NEED a couple of the doilly dies.  I just love this look!

4.  Some of the new Hero Arts stamps! 

5.  Cardstock and more Cardstock- Do you think you ever have enough cardstock.  I use it on all my projects and you can never go wrong with cardstock!

Must Have Tools

Design Team Inspiration

Do you love making mini albums?  Our Design Team Coordinator, Amy Cloud, made this wonderful mini album using Echo Park's Time and Season's  new line.  It is really the perfect mini to have! Each month has a calendar.

  My plan is to use this as a little mini-book to highlight

   2012.   It could also be used a Year-End Reflection 2011 book to highlight last

   year!  Add the calendar dates according to the year you plan to highlight

   and place behind the month tabs.   I purposely left the month tab pages

   plain pages plain so that I could embellish once I add my pictures and journaling

   each month.  I added journaling cards here and there just to have a little more

   space!    I also plan to slip a few or my favorite photos in the pockets each month.
