Vicki Boutin comes to Simply Scrapbooks! Saturday, February 19th
Vicki Boutin comes from a background in graphic design and fine arts and she has always been passionate about creating pretty things! Her love of colour, texture, funky patterns and photography lead her to the discovery of scrapbooking and paper crafting. She has not looked back since!
In 2006 Vicki became a Creating Keepsakes Hall of Fame winner and went on to be part of Better Homes and Gardens Scrapbooks Etc’s Creative Team. Her work is currently published in Scrapbooks, Etc and Vicki writes a quarterly article for Scrapbooks and Cards, Today magazine. She enjoys working closely with a number of the industry’s top manufacturers including Sassafras, 7 Gypsies, Basic Grey, Little Yellow Bicycle and Pink Paislee. Vicki is also a Ranger Certified instructor.
Vicki is always on a mission to learn something new and then find a way to share it! That is where teaching comes in. She has taught workshops in the United States, Canada and Europe and loves to approach art in a fun, fresh and accessible way. Her motto is “Try anything once. You won’t know if it’s your style unless you try it!” Her workshops offer an opportunity to meet new friends, try new things and most of all have FUN!!!
Two crazy kids and a straight laced husband keep things interesting in Vicki’s home in Southern Ontario, Canada. At present, Vicki is writing her first technique based book which will be available in 2012.

This class is a kaleidoscope of colour and whimsy…everything you would expect in a Sassafras inspired workshop. Students will create two double page layouts and a bonus single page layout focused on mixing pattern papers, layering, tissue paper techniques and more. A little fun with Glimmer Mist and stamping will also be explored. Prizes and good times are sure to abound so don’t miss out!
Duration- 3 hrs
Students need: 12x12 paper trimmer, scissors, wet and dry adhesive (including double sided tape and adhesive foam squares), acrylic stamping blocks, ruler

In this brand new workshop, Vicki will show students how to create an enchanting monogram shadow box display full of photos, ephemera and treasurers that will make a great home décor item or gift. With pieces from the new 7 Gypsies Conservatory line, Maya Road goodies and of course the wildly popular new 7 Gypsies Shadowbox Letterpress tray (they sold out immediately when first introduced) student will stamp, string, mist, punch and fashion a number of photos and unique items. A few Ranger and Tim Holtz products will be mixed in to make this a workshop one you will NOT want to miss!!! The kit contains everything you see in the image, students will only need their photos!
