Debby Schuh can't remember a time when shae hasn't scrapbooked... she still has her scrapbook from when she was two years old!
After teaching for several years and then working as a staff designer for Anna Griffin, Inc., Debby now has a busy schedule teaching at scrapbook stores and events both in the US and abroad. Her classes at CKU for the last seven years have inspired hundreds of students from around the world. She was honored to teach at Creative Escape last year and in Paris this spring and South Africa and on the Ultimate Scrapbook Cruise this fall. She has had many projects and articles published in books and magazines and is the author of the book "Kids Scrapbooking...Easy as 1,2,3. Bringing this wealth of teaching and design experience to her scrapbook classes, Debby specializes in designing projects full of interactive elements and design details. She teaches innovative techniques step by step so that her students leave class with a beautiful finished project. Debby is blessed to be able to do what she loves...travel the world and meet wonderful people, do a little shopping along the way and share her passion for scrapbooking. She lives near Buffalo, New York, with her husband and has two sons: one who just graduated from college and one who is serving in the Army with his wife. Autograph Photo Stand Class
Friday August 6th from 6-9pm
Roses are red, violets are blue... Did you ever have an autograph
album? It was fun to have your friends sign their name and write a silly little
poem! This isn't actually an autograph album (unless you want it be) but a
lovely display with two albums to show off your favorite photos of the people,
places, and even things that have made an imprint, "an autograph," on
your life. The albums can be displayed on the stand for a while and then
replaced with new pictures so that you can rotate the albums with the seasons
or new themes. You could make an album about the people of your life and
another about the places of your life. You could also make a beautiful display
with the pictures of gardens and scenery taken through the years.
Using some of my favorite products from 7gypsies, Jenni Bowlin,
Tim Holtz Ideology, and more, we'll make one album full of techniques making
page layouts and pockets and another small album with little pockets and pages
to tuck your photos and treasures into.
(This project can be made without the stand, if desired. If you do
not purchase the stand, you will need to purchase a refill pack of the photo
stand vertical page protectors by 7gypsies and two binding
rings. The refill pack #10082 contains 10 page protectors. The photo stand
comes with 15 page protectors and the binding rings.)
Student supply list:
12" paper trimmer, scissors, pencil, ruler, foam squares, glue dots, tape runner adhesive,
7gypsies Binderie, Crop A Dile punch, Ranger Vintage Photo Distress Ink, Ink
Blending Tool, Non-Stick Craft Mat,
sanding block, paper edge distresser, stapler (Tiny Attacher), scoring tool, decorative border punch (Debby used lacy Martha Stewart punch), scallop edge scissors
Sweet Summer Days Mini BookSaturday, August 7th from 10am-1pm
Sunny days, swimming holes, hours just to play, vacations near and
far, country fairs, ice cream, picnics, outdoor concerts, and lots more
adventures make summertime the best time of the year! In this sweet album full
of pockets and fold outs and places for all your summer "stuff,"
you'll be able to record and remember the days that fly by so quickly. It's
perfect boys or girls or even you!
Using fresh new products from October Afternoon, Jenni Bowlin,
American Crafts, and more, we'll work our folding magic on the pages of this
album so you can include all the photos and memorabilia that gives your album
its own special personality.
(This is basically the Pennies From Heaven class techniques
remodeled with new products for the stores on my schedule this summer.)

Tiny Tales Mini BookSaturday August 7th from 2pm-5pm
Imagine... one day you're cleaning out the attic and discover a
dusty box of long forgotten treasures. Inside you find a sweet, small book full
of stories and pictures of a girl with simple dreams and delightful tales. It's
a little tattered and looks well-loved. Wouldn't that be an amazing find? Let's
make that book together and fill it with YOUR stories and pictures. Who is that
girl? Who has she become? Who does she hope to be? Of course, there are so many
other things you can use this darling album for, too!
We'll take a canvas album from Pink Paislee and fill it with
papers and embellishments from the October Afternoon Thrift Shop collection,
American Crafts Dear Lizzy, Jenni Bowlin, 7gypsies, Tim Holtz Ideology, May
Arts, and more. There will be lots of product for you to use your creativity to
truly make this album your own. You'll leave class with a finished book ready
for you to fill with your own treasures. (It would also make a perfect gift for
a special girl to fill with her dreams and stories as she grows up.)
